As a classical-trained instrumentalist and a musician, I strive to write music that leaves lasting impact on listeners. I grew up playing the piano and cello, and have been part of numerous orchestras, ensembles, choirs, and concours. I studied theory and began my compositional journey in my senior year of high school through writing short piano compositions, then later making a transition to producing digitally on DAWs. I have since publicly released 3 albums, 2 EPs, and 4 singles, amassing over 30k+ streams and 15k+ listeners from major streaming platforms.
been through it all ft. aftrr!
In 2022, I was interviewed and featured in The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette for my track Arkansas -- one of the 25 tracks that I put out in association with US States (sort of like the same project Sufjan Stevens began but never completed).
In 2023, I began a separate YouTube channel and an alt Spotify artist page under the name BostonLobster to release an alternate line of instrumental tracks. This past summer, I went back to practicing the classical pieces I'd learned previously (mostly in my younger years) to record and build a piano performance repertoire. I also began a Substack to document my musical journey and write about the many ideas I had regarding the current state of the music industry, mainstream sounds, production techniques, etc. I haven't been able to post as regularly as I would have liked, but it's still work in progress.
I've always been pretty prolific with my releases, and since starting this journey 2 years ago, there hasn't been a moment in time where I wasn't working on music. Currently, I'm busy sending out beats and backtracks to other artists (vocalists) for a potential collaboration. If you are interested in working with me, please reach me at bostonlobsterrecords@gmail.com. You can also join my Discord server (if you're reading this, please join!)
At the moment, my favorite songs are Be Just Fine and Baby Choppa by Rot Ken, and homesick by kmoe. The producers that I look up to include Wheezy, Pharell, JetsonMade and the collectives Internet Money and Working On Dying. I listen to (and take inspiration from) almost all music genres, but I am a particular fan of melodic rap.
There are many directions and goals I wish to pursue with my music. Right now, I am solely focused on consistently putting out new sounds and seeing what works and what doesn't. I also aim to put out collaborative projects with other vocalists. Later in my music career, I wish to contribute to compositional work, such as writing film scores or composing for musicals.
2023 & 2022 Spotify Wrapped. A big thank you to all my fans!
